VIPER HALF MARATHON
The Viper Half Marathon runs along the stunning Tobacco Heritage Trail,
starting in Brodnax and crossing the finish line in Lawrenceville, VA!
The 2015 Viper Half was met with humbling support from every runner present and the towns of Brodnax & Lawrenceville as well as special help from the Sheriffs dept and towns police & finally the amazing support from the team at the Tobacco Heritage Trail!
Team Viper are back with a vengeance for a second year!
The Tobacco Heritage Trail is a fairly flat trail which is perfect for people new to the 13.1 mile distance who would like to step up and it's also perfect for those seasoned Half Marathon runners looking for a PR (Personal Record!).
The Tobacco Heritage Trail is an amazing project. The fantastic team are extending an old rail road and can only advance with donations from the public and by entering our event, we donate a percentage to the Tobacco Heritage Trail so they can continue extending this beautiful trail!

Whats new in 2016?
Chip Timed
Our 2016 event will be chip timed! We also hope to have a time trial at some point a long the trail and the fastest male and female through the TT will win some very cool stuff!
Post Event Stuff
The rain kinda let us down in 2015.. So we are rigging up a nice large tent with lots of stuff going on afterwards so please stay and enjoy a few drinks, good food and activities with us after your run!
Bling
We know ya'll loved the bling in 2015 and we won't dissapoint again!
Don't forget! Every finisher in 2015 earned a nice, ice cold beer at the finish line on us! (if your 21 or over of course) And we are doing this again in 2016!
Prizes & age categories
There will be 2 age categories for male and female entrants. 35 and under / 36 and over.
The fastest male and females across the finish line in each category will win $250!
Early Bird $55 Entry until Oct 31 2015
Late Bird $60 until Jan 31 2015
Normal entry Fee $67
Once your entry has been purchased we will email you with race details within 24 hrs.
Course Record
Current course record set is:
Male: 1:26:25 Female: 1:45:00
If a new course record is set, the new record holders will earn themselves a nice little $50 cash prize!
Viper 1 Mile Fun Run-1245pm
Team Viper are excited to include a juniors 1 mile fun run after the Half Marathon Event that will take place close to the finish line in Lawrenceville.
Entry to the fun run is for 3 - 11 yr olds only.
All juniors entered will get a cool finisher prize.
Entry into the Junior 1 mile Fun Run is just $8.00
REST ROOM FACILITIES
There will be mobile rest rooms available near the start line for your pre run trots and also along the route and at the finish.
HYDRATION
Team Viper will provide enough water for you throughout the event. There will be water stations along the route. We will not be providing any type of energy drink or gels so if you do take these, please bring enough with you, however, there will be jelly babies or similar type sweets!
FOOD & DRINK
Food and drink will be available on race day. Don't forget your pennies!
RACE PHOTOS
There will be race photography on the route and available for you to purchase on race day and following race day.
TRANSFERS & REFUNDS
Unfortunately we do not offer any refund or credit transfer to any other Viper Series event, however you may transfer your place to someone else up to 28th Feb 2016.
